BOCA RATON, Fla. - Coming off of a win in its Conference USA opener at South Carolina, the Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team looks to maintain momentum in a 7 p.m. match against Old Dominion on Friday, Sept. 15 at the FAU Soccer Stadium.
The Owls (1-3, 1-0 C-USA) topped the Gamecocks 2-1 in overtime last Saturday to make a their presence known in the league. Carlos Sanchis netted his third goal of the season, the game winner, in overtime. ODU (2-1-2, 0-0 C-USA) opens the conference slate coming off of back-to-back 1-1 ties to Iona and Campbell. The Monarchs own wins over Appalachian State and Oakland with the lone loss coming to Saint Francis. Friday's match will be the first road test for ODU in 2017.Series history:
FAU is 0-4 all time against Old Dominion with each of the last two matches going to overtime.
