BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team opens its 2017 home slate Friday at noon against College of Charleston and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. against NJIT at the FAU Soccer Stadium. Both matches are scheduled to be streamed live via FAUSports.TV.
The Owls (0-1) are coming off of a 3-2 loss at NC State last weekend that saw sophomore Carlos Sanchis score a pair of goals in the first half. Goalkeeper Daniel Ragoo made seven saves in the match. Dylan Huber, Oscar Salas, Daniel Del Rio and Felix Halle Smith also recorded shots at NC State.
College of Charleston is 1-1 on the year with a win over Monmouth in its last outing after a loss to Furman on Aug. 25.
NJIT sits at 2-0 with 1-0 victories over Sacred Heart and Navy and will face FIU in Miami Friday before traveling to Boca Raton.
Series history:
FAU is 0-3-0 all time against College of Charleston with the last meeting coming in 2008. Inversely, FAU is 3-0 all-time against NJIT, winning the last meeting 2-0 in Newark, N.J. in 2007
