Alex Miller Named to Conference USA All-Academic Team

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University softball player Alex Miller has been named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team, the league announced on Wednesday. She currently holds a 3.78 GPA while majoring in nursing.
Miller, a junior from Oviedo, Fla., split time behind the plate for her first two seasons, but took over the role full-time this season. She was named to the C-USA Preseason All-Conference Team and is hitting .248 so far this year. Miller has 10 multiple-hit games so far this season and drove in the game-winning run in a win over Middle Tennessee. Her .991 fielding percentage is tied for fourth all-time in school history.
The Owls are the No. 4 seed for the Conference USA Championship and will play their first game at 6 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday against either UAB or WKU.
