BOCA RATON, Fla. - (Feb. 28, 2017) - The Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team will begin its 2017 season on Thursday as it hosts Webber International and FIU. Action begins at 10:30 a.m. when the Owls face Webber International. FAU will also face FIU at 2:30 p.m. FAU notched 13 dual match victories last season and had Delaney Clesen and Gabrielle Dischler earn American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Honorable Mention All-American honors.
Preseason Notables: Dischler and newcomer Megan Rice were named to the preseason Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) All-Conference team, and sophomore Nicole Navarro was named to the CCSA Watch List. The Owls were also ranked No. 19 in the DiG Magazine preseason polls.
