Driskel, Cedeno Named Players of the Week

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University named Jason Driskel (football) and Sasha Cedeño (basketball) student-athletes of the week, for the week of Nov. 27.
Driskel closed out the regular season with 245 passing yards and two touchdowns in a 31-12 win over Charlotte. He also added 40 yards on the ground. Driskel's 81.8 completion percentage (18-22) is the best single game completion percentage in program history, topping his previous best of 80% last season against UTEP.
Cedeño led the Owls to two wins in three games including a win in the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament. The senior opened the week with 26 points and 11 rebounds in a 66-58 win over Indiana State. Cedeño opened the Thanksgiving Tournament with an 80-60 win over St. Francis Brooklyn with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists. The Spring, TX native finished the week with 19 points and seven boards against Bowling Green.
Football is going for its first C-USA title on Saturday at noon against North Texas. The game can be found on ESPN 2 and ESPN West Palm 106.3. Women's basketball takes on Grand Canyon Friday in The Burrow. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
