Beallsville, Md. â€" Ricky Hendler paced the Florida Atlantic University men's golf team as the Owls opened the 2017-18 campaign at the Georgetown Intercollegiate.

• Hendler climbed five spots to finish 15th with his third-round 73 after shooting a pair of 76s to open the tournament.
• Newcomer Cody Christensen tallied an 81-73-74 228 to place 21st overall
• Chris Thomas improved each round in his 85-76-74 235 to finish in 44th
• Adam Friedman recorded a 79-80-77 236 for 46th overall while newcomer Jackson Shoenfelt rounded out the Owls with his 83-78-84 245 for 57th.
• The Owls placed 10th as a team.
