FAU travels to Miami for the A10 Match Play Championship Feb. 26-27
BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- Senior Ricky Hendler shot a 71 to lead the Florida Atlantic University men's golf team to a victory against Army at Delray Dunes on Monday.
- FAU topped Army 293 to 302
- Hendler's 3.91 Par 4 average and five birdies led the field of 19 as he finished second, just one stroke behind Army's Dean Sakata
- Cody Christensen and Chris Thomas tied for third with rounds of 73, finishing with 15 and 12 pars, respectively, to lead the field in that category
- Adam Friedman, competing as an individual, followed in fifth with a 74, leading the field with a 2-under peformance on par fives
- Brian Dolehide and Sully Zagerman came in tied for seventh with 76s
- Newcomer Karan Nalam was just one stroke back with a 77 to finish ninth
- Yuki Fujii and Patrick Poate rounded out the FAU competitors with an 80 and 81, respectively
