TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team opened its spring slate with a 2-1 weekend at the Florida State Invitational over the weekend. The Owls topped Louisiana and Mercer after falling to South Alabama.

• Senior Felipe Frias went undefeated, winning his doubles matches with Anthony Schohn against Louisiana and Mercer
• Frias also earned a point in singles with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory over Mercer's Oliver Stuart
• Andrei Morin-Kougoucheff, Remi Chancerel, Arthur Stefani and Ignacio Jimenez also won singles matches against Louisiana
• Morin-Kougoucheff and Trey Nickerson teamed up to help FAU win the doubles point against Mercer before Frias, Stefani and Jimenez ran the table in singles to take the match.
• Morin-Kougoucheff, Schohn and Alexander Gitin were all leading in singles against Mercer when the match was decided.
