Key Plays
The first set quickly fell into a pattern of the Owls building a modest lead and the Panthers rallying to remain competitive. After four straight Panther points cut FAU's lead to 23-21, a Gabrielle Dixon kill and a Kori Varney service ace gave the Owls the set. Another quick Owls start in the second set helped FAU to a 25-14 win and one frame away from victory. The third set mirrored the first with the Owls establishing a cushion and the Panthers fighting back to stay in contention. An attack error and two service aces pulled FIU to within two at 24-22, but a Ristic kill put the set and match away.
