BOCA RATON, Fla. â€" The Florida Atlantic University baseball team completed a three-game sweep of Conference USA foe UTSA with a 3-1 win on Sunday.

The Owls improved to 33-13 and 17-7 in C-USA after playing their fourth game in four consecutive days. Freshman Tyler Frank went 2-for-4 with a double and the game-winning RBI while Esteban Puerta was 2-for-3 with a home run.

Senior Robbie Coursel picked up the win, dealing three relief innings with just one hit and a strikeout before Colyn O'Connell and Devon Carr dealt shutout outings and Cameron Ragsdale earned his 13th save. Sophomore catcher Gunnar Lambert threw out two runners stealing.

"We pitched great," FAU Head Coach John McCormack said. "The pitchers really saved our bacon. We've got to be better in [offensive] situations."

UTSA's lone run came in the top of the first on a walk and an RBI single.

With two outs in the second, Austin Langham was hit by a pitch and Lambert picked up FAU's first hit to put two on. Frank then hit a double to left to drive in both runners, putting the Owls up 2-1.

On the first pitch of the fourth, Puerta hammered his team-high eighth home run, a solo shot to left, to tack on an insurance run.

UTSA put runners in scoring position in each the eighth and ninth innings, but Ragsdale worked out of the situations to earn his 13th save â€" the third most in the nation.
