NORFOLK, Va. â€" The No. 17 Florida Atlantic University baseball team completed its three-game Conference USA series sweep of Old Dominion with an 11-0 mercy-rule victory on Sunday.

The Owls (21-4, 8-1 C-USA) tallied 13 hits and drew seven walks while FAU starter Sean Labsan dealt six shutout innings, striking out six while allowing just three hits to earn his fourth win of the season.

Esteban Puerta went 4-for-5 with four RBI, three runs, a homer and a double while freshman Tyler Frank tallied four RBI on two hits and a walk. Stephen Kerr earned three hits and Christian Dicks scored three runs with an RBI.

Dicks walked and Puerta singled to lead off the second before Brett Lashley drew a walk to load the bags. Frank then drew a bases-loaded, RBI walk and Jose Bonilla Traverso hit a sacrifice fly to put FAU on top 2-0.

Dicks again reached in the third inning, setting up Puerta for a two-run homer, his fourth of the year, to double the lead to 4-0.

Lashley drew another walk in the top of the sixth and came around to score on a double by Bonilla Traverso.

With the bases loaded in the seventh, Frank lifted a three-RBI double off the left-center wall to put the game out of reach at 8-0.

Kerr singled and Chatham walked to set Dicks up for an RBI single in the eighth as the Owls didn't let off. Puerta then roped a double to right to drive in two more runs, ending the blowout at 11-0.
