BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic men's tennis hosted Xavier on Tuesday, and came away with a 5-2 win. The Owls have played well as of late, winning three of their last four matches. The Owls started the match against the Musketeers strong, winning the doubles point early, and using that momentum to win four of the six singles positions.

FAU's Joao Gauer and Remi Chancerel defeated Arthur Stefani and Jeremy Schneider 6-3 in the No. 2 doubles. FAU's Zandrix Acob and Gerald Nickerson defeated Jack Dykema and Brian Carman 6-3 in the No. 3 doubles spot.

In singles FAU sophomore Remi Chancerel defeated Zach Mueck 6-3, 4-6, 6-0 at the No. 1 position. Chancerl is 9-3 on the season. FAU sophomore Zandrix Acob defeated Matt Bishop 6-1, 6-4 to improve to 10-3 on the season. FAU freshman Anthony Schohn defeated Jack Dykema 6-3, 6-3 to continue a five match win streack. Schohn improved to 7-3 on the season with the win. FAU sophomore Ignacio Jimenez defeated Trent Smith 6-4, 6-2 for his ninth win on the season.

FAU is Back in action against Conference USA foe Middle Tennessee Friday March, 11 at 1 p.m. at home.
