No. 15 Owls Rout Georgetown 14-2

BOCA RATON, Fla. â€" Junior CJ Chatham tallied four hits and scored three runs to guide the No. 15 Florida Atlantic University baseball team to a 14-2 win over Georgetown to take the series on Sunday.
The Owls (9-1) posted 17 hits to surpass the 100 hit mark just ten games into the season. FAU has out-scored opponents 86-34 on the year, batting .344 as a team.
Marc Stewart improved to 3-0 on the season, dealing six innings with five strikeouts, allowing one run and no walks. Christian Dicks recorded three hits and two RBI while Esteban Puerta went 2-for-4 with three RBI to bring his season total to 19 runs driven in.
"Marc threw really well and set the tone for us," FAU Head Coach John McCormack said. "He gave the offense a chance to score some runs and we got some guys who hadn't thrown in a while some action."
FAU jumped on top early as Chatham doubled and Dicks drew a walk to load the bases with one out. Puerta hit a sacrifice fly before Sean Labsan hit a two-RBI triple off the right-field wall to give the Owls a 3-0 advantage.
With two on in the second, Billy Endris laced an RBI single to right before Chatham hit a sacrifice fly to drive in Brett Lashley to increase the advantage to 5-0.
Lashley led off the fourth with FAU's 12th double of the weekend and came in to score on a sacrifice fly by freshman Tyler Frank.
After Georgetown got on the board with a lone run in the fifth, three consecutive Owls reached to load the bases, setting up Labsan to score on a passed ball to make it 7-1 FAU.
Three straight singles in the sixth brought another run across before Gunnar Lambert cleared the bases with a single to center and a Hoya error to put the Owls up 11-1.
Another error allowed Endris to score in the bottom of the seventh before Puerta picked up his third RBI on a single to plate Chatham.
Dicks hit a two-out RBI single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth to end FAU's offensive day with 14 runs.
