DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team swept Eckerd College 5-0 in a dual match on Wednesday. A double dual was originally scheduled, but weather forced the cancellation of the second match.
The Owls (7-7) swept all five official matches as well as the exhibition court. The Tritons forced extra points on courts no. 2 and no. 4, but didn’t win a set. The second match of the double dual started, but was cancelled due to deteriorating weather conditions.
FAU travels to Miami Beach this weekend for the FIU Surf and Turf Tournament. The Owls’ first match of the weekend will be against Stetson at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 1.
