BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic men's tennis playing in Deland, FL to took on the Eagles of Georgia Southern University, and came away with a 4-2 defeat. The Owls, who were on a four match win streak, lost to Georgia Southern for the second consecutive year. The Owls lost the doubles point early, and could not overcome the Eagles momentum in singles.

In singles sophomore Ignacio Jimenez defeated Chris Kerrigan 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 to remain undefeated. Jimenez is 7-0 this season, and has yet to lose in a dual match at FAU, going 4-0 last season. Zandrix Acob defeated Daniel Casablancas 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 to improve to 6-2 on the season.

FAU faces off against Army West Point tomorrow, Feb, 14 at 1:00 a.m. at home at Patch Reef Park.
