BOCA RATON, Fla. - (December 3, 2016) - A late 12-3 rally proved crucial in the Florida Atlantic men's basketball team's 88-80 loss to Hofstra on Saturday night. It was the first home loss of the year for the Owls.
The Turning Point
Jailyn Ingram converted a three-point play to give FAU (2-5) a 73-69 lead with 5:32 remaining in the game. The Pride went on their run over the next 4:10 to take the victory.
Notables
- Jailyn Ingram led the Owls with 19 points, his fourth double-digit scoring game in a row, and added seven rebounds.
- Ronald Delph had 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
- Jeantal Cylla added 11 points.
- Adonis Filer (14) and Gerdarius Troutman (12) came off the bench to give FAU five players in double figures. The duo also added seven assists with no turnovers.
- The Owls were outrebounded 49-30 as a team, including 20-7 on the offensive end.
