CORAL GABLES, Fla. - (December 16, 2016) - The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team made a season low three three-pointers in a 76-56 loss to the University of Miami on Friday night. FAU is now 3-6 on the season.

The Turning Point

After Jailyn Ingram made a layup to cut the Owls' deficit to 20-14 with 7:21 remaining in the first half, the Hurricanes (8-2) went on a 19-8 run over the next six minutes to push the lead to 17. FAU never got closer than 14 points the rest of the way.

Notables

Marcus Neely scored a season high 12 points to lead the Owls. Neely tied his season high with six rebounds.
Adonis Filer was the only other Owl in double figures, with 11 points. FAU outscored the Hurricanes 30-17 off the bench.
Ronald Delph had nine points and seven rebounds.
UM outrebounded the Owls 48-29.
Justin Massey played 12 minutes and grabbed a rebound in his first action of the season.
