BOCA RATON, Fla. - (October 21, 2016) - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team swept Louisiana Tech (25-15, 25-12, 25-20) on Friday night. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Owls. FAU improves to 11-10 on the season and 6-1 in conference play, while Louisiana Tech fell to 10-14 and 1-7 in C-USA.

FAU held Louisiana Tech to .131 hitting on the night, the 11th time an opponent has hit .200 or lower.
At 6-1, the Owls are off to their best start in conference play since 2005, when they were members of the Atlantic Sun.
Maja Ristic led all players with 15 kills.

Key Plays

The Owls led 9-8 in the first set, then closed on a 16-7 run to take the frame. Nathalie Rosado and Dena Tekavec each had long serving runs to put FAU up 17-4 in the second set. From there, the Owls coasted to a 25-12 victory headed to the intermission. After a Lady Techster kill, cut FAU's lead to 9-7 in the third, four different Owls contributed kills during a 11-6 run that helped seal the win.
