BOCA RATON, Fla. - Unable to overcome a slow start, the Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team lost to Old Dominion 78-66 on Thursday night.

The Monarchs (11-10, 4-4 C-USA) opened the game on a 16-2 run and never surrendered the lead.
Notables
Ronald Delph had 16 points and eight rebounds to lead the Owls (5-16, 3-5) in both categories.
Solomon Poole added 14 points, five rebounds and an assist off the bench.
ODU outrebounded the Owls 42-24 on the night, including 14 offensive rebounds. Brandan Stith led the Monarchs with 13 rebounds and had 14 points for a double-double.
Trey Freeman had a game high 28 points. That ties him with UTSA's Christian Wilson for the most by an opposing player this season.
ODU now leads the all-time series 4-0.
