EL PASO, TEXAS - (Jan. 21, 2016) - A 15-0 run to start the game was too much to overcome for the Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team, as they lost to UTEP 71-56 on Thursday night. Jeantal Cylla scored 25 points to lead all scorers.
The Turning Point
After FAU cut what had been a 22-point lead to nine just five and a half minutes into the second half, UTEP (11-8, 3-3 Conference USA) went on a 21-2 run to put the game away.
Notables
Cylla's 25 points were a career high, surpassing his previous career high of 18, which came against Warner.
Adonis Filer scored eight points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out four assists.
FAU (4-15, 2-4) committed a season high 18 turnovers in the game.
Hooper Vint and Omega Harris led the Miners with 19 points each.
Connor Shorten saw his first collegiate action, grabbing an offensive rebound in four minutes of action.
