Day 1 Results
The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team completed day one of the Jacksonville University Classic on Monday.
The eighth annual JU Classic is being played at the Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. The Owls finished the first two rounds in 12th place with a team total of 641.
The course is a par 72 with a total yardage of 5,967. The 14-team field features Jacksonville, Florida State, Rollins College, Daytona State College, North Florida, Wofford College, Houston Baptist, Stetson, Seminole State, Western Carolina, Georgia State, Embry-Riddle, and USC Upstate.
Freshman Emily Faulkner was FAU's top finisher on the day tied for 42nd shooting four-over 76 in round one and three-over 75 in round two. Senior Christina Langer followed, ending the day tied for 55th place after shooting 79 in the first round and 75 in the second.
Kadi Pallastrone finished close behind coming in tied for 59th place after day one carding 76 and 79 in the first and second rounds, respectively. Competing individually for FAU was Gabrielle Brackrog, she finished the day tied for 61st place shooting 12-over 156 for the day. Daniella Castaneda completed the day in 65th place with a total score of 157. Rounding out the Owls' competitors is sophomore Tai Barber currently in 68th.
The second day of the Jacksonville University Classic will kick off with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29th.
