FAU Baseball's Logan Signs with Winnipeg

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University baseball alumnus Bo Logan has signed a contract to play for the Winnipeg Goldeyes of the American Association, as announced by Winnipeg manager Ricky Forney.
Logan becomes the seventh member of the 2015 class to be drafted or to sign a professional contract after the Owls went 42-19 on the season with an NCAA Regional appearance. The Naples native graduated with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice in May.
"Bo had a wonderful career here and I'm so happy he is getting a chance to continue to play baseball," said FAU Head Baseball Coach John McCormack. "I know he is excited about the opportunity and I know he will do great."
Logan's time at FAU came to a close with the best outing of his career when the senior dealt five strikeouts over three hitless innings against USF in the NCAA Regional on May 31, propelling the Owls to the championship game. His 97 career appearances ranks second all-time at FAU while he also ranks in the FAU record books among the career leaders in ERA, saves, fewest hits per nine innings, fewest walks per nine innings, and opponent batting average. In 2015, Logan dealt 26 outings with 38 strikeouts to just eight walks allowed. His six saves led the squad as he held opponents to an average of .234 en route to three victories. Logan was named to the All-Tournament team at the NCAA Regional in Gainesville.
Logan joins former Owl teammates Jake Meiers (Joplin) and Jeremy Strawn (Sioux Falls) n the American Association league.
