BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Florida Atlantic men's tennis played their final match of the season, beating Florida A&M 5-2 on Saturday. FAU finished the season 13-8 and went 6-1 in their last seven matches.
FAU won the started the match by winning the doubles point. The FAU duo of senior Will Neuner and junior Andrei Morin-Kougoucheff defeated Courage Okungbowa and Walner Espinoza 6-3. Neuner and Morin-Kougoucheff finished the season 10-3 and on a four match win streak. The FAU senior duo of Richard Meade and Robert Dubuque defeated Karlyn Small and Carlos Waitman 6-0. FAU won the doubles point in 14 matches this season including all 13 victories.
In singles Morin-Kougoucheff defeated Karlyn Small 6-1, 6-2 to finish the season 11-4. Morin-Kougoucheff finished the season on a 10-match win streak. Neuner defeated Carlos Waitman 7-5, 6-1 to finish the season with a team leading 12 singles victories. Neuner finishes his career with 55 singles victories and two consecutive winning seasons and is third all-time in doubles victories with 57. FAU freshman Zandrix Acob defeated Jalen Evans 6-0, 6-1 to finish the season 11-7. FAU senior Robert Dubuque defeated Joel Jones 6-4, 6-4 to finish the season on a three match win streak.
