BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University softball team will continue Conference USA play this weekend when the Owls travel to Marshall for a three game series. FAU took two of three from the Thundering Herd last year, winning the final two games after losing the opener.
The Owls (29-14-1, 10-5 C-USA) swept all three games against Charlotte last weekend. On Saturday night, Kylee Hanson threw the 24th no-hitter in program history and the first of her career. The sophomore was named Conference USA's Co-Pitcher of the Week for her efforts.
Marshall (28-10, 9-5) swept Middle Tennessee over the weekend to extend its winning streak to 10 games. The Thundering Herd is just half a game behind FAU for second place in the C-USA East division behind Western Kentucky. The series will consist of a doubleheader on Saturday, April 18 and a single game on Sunday, April 19. Saturday's first game will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday's game will start at 11 a.m.
