Hanson Named Conference USA Co-Pitcher of the Week

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University softball pitcher Kylee Hanson was named the Conference USA Co-Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday. Hanson shared the honor with Miranda Kramer of Western Kentucky.
The sophomore from Jupiter, Fla. pitched 10 innings with 22 strikeouts, three walks and no earned runs. Hanson held no. 13 Kentucky scoreless in three innings pitched while making appearances in both games of the doubleheader last Monday. She capped the week by throwing the 24th no-hitter in program history. Hanson's no-hitter came against Charlotte on Saturday night. It was the first of her career and she struck out a career-high 18 in the process. This season, she has thrown 105 innings with 79 strikeouts and a 1.80 ERA.
The Owls will travel to Marshall next weekend for a three-game series. The series begins with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 18.
