Softball to Host Final Tournament of Season

BOCA RATON, Fla. (March 4, 2015) - The Florida Atlantic University softball team will host its final tournament of the season this weekend. Bethune-Cookman, Coastal Carolina, Florida State, Hofstra, and Memphis will take part in the Parents' Weekend Tournament.
The Owls (16-3) won three of their five games at last weekend's Purple and Gold Challenge, hosted by LSU. For the second week in a row, they are also receiving votes in both major national polls.
FAU will play Bethune-Cookman and Memphis in their two games on Friday. The Wildcats (4-15) lost all five of their games last weekend at a tournament at FIU, while the Tigers (6-8) lost 8-0 at Ole Miss on Tuesday night. Florida State and Hofstra will be the opponents on Saturday. The Seminoles (13-5) are ranked in both polls and enter the weekend on a four game winning streak. Hofstra (5-5) went 3-2 at the Louisiana-Lafayette tournament last weekend. FAU will play Coastal Carolina (11-8) and Hofstra on Sunday.
