Florida Atlantic University swimmer Agnes Bucz competed at the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championship this week putting up strong performances in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle.
The first day of competition featured the 50 free where Bucz put up a time of 23.19. On Friday, the junior swam in the 200 free prelims and had her third best time ever of 1:46.42, which was good for 30th out of nearly 60 competitors.
On the final day of the meet, Bucz took part in the 100 free and finished in 49.65, which is the fastest morning swim of her career as well as her third best time in this event. She currently holds the school records in both the 100 free (49.01) and 200 free (1:45.58), which she set during the 2015 Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championship.
"Overall it was a very good meet, good performances and a good way to swim and handle the pressure on Agi's part," said Lara Preacco, head coach.
The 2015-16 swimming and diving season is set to begin in September. The official schedule will be released in the fall.
