Round One Results

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. -

The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team concluded the first day of play of the 2015 Bearcat Spring Classic in 17th place with a round one total of 337.

The Owls top finisher was junior Heather Netti who shot 80 with a birdie on the par five fifth hole. Following her with 11-over 72 was freshman Macarena Haupt who birdied the par three second hole.

Close behind was Yumi Fujii with a round of 85. The last two competitors were Nicole Marino and Emily Peters shooting 17 and 19-over 72, respectively.

Hosted by the University of Cincinnati, the 2015 Bearcat Spring Classic is being held at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. The teams are playing on the Los Colinas course, which is a par 72 with a yardage of 6,225. Participating teams include Bradley, Central Arkansas, Florida Southern, Illinois State, Jacksonville, Memphis, North Dakota State, Northern Illinois, Rutgers, Seminole State, Seton Hall, Southern Miss, UAB, Texas A&M, and Winthrop.
