BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic men's tennis beat Duquesne 6-1 on Monday, moving the Owls to 7-6 on the season. FAU played well in both doubles and singles giving up only one point to the Dukes. FAU is above .500 for the first time this season after playing their first six matches on the road and facing four ranked opponents in their first four matches.

The FAU duo of senior Will Neuner and junior Andrei Morin-Kougoucheff defeated to Rich Robbie and Corey Robinson 6-0. Neuner and Morin-Kougoucheff, playing in the number one position, are a team leading 6-2 on the season as a doubles pair. FAU senior Sean Bacha and sophomore Stefan Burnett defeated Alex Aleman and Harry Walshe 6-4, and improved to 4-1 on the season as a duo. FAU senior Robert Dubuque and freshman Zandrix Acob defeated Adam Blasinsky and Tim Kane 6-0.

In singles FAU won positions one through five lead by Morin-Kougoucheff defeating Rich Robbie 6-3, 7-5 in the number one position. Senior Will Neuner defeated Corey Robinson 6-1, 6-7, 6-1 to improve to 7-4 on the season. FAU senior Seam Bacha defeated Alex Aleman 3-6, 6-4, 10-5 and senior Richard Meade defeated Adam Blasinsky 3-6, 6-3, 6-1. Freshman Zandrix Acob defeated Harry Walshe 6-4, 6-2 for his seventh win on the season.

FAU is back in action Thursday March 5, at 1 p.m. in Washington, DC against Howard University.
