Softball Continues to Receive Votes in National Polls

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University softball team received votes in this week's polls of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and ESPN/USA Softball. It is the third week in a row that the Owls received votes in both polls.
Five FAU opponents are ranked in both polls. This season, the Owls will face #14/#12 Kentucky and #20/#20 UCF. FAU has already played #3/#2 LSU, #10/#9 Florida State, and #23/#24 Kansas. The Owls will also play Western Kentucky, who received a vote in the ESPN poll.
FAU will face Florida State on Tuesday night before traveling to Louisiana Tech to start conference play this weekend. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Live stats will be available at fausports.com. For tickets, call the FAU Ticket Office at 1-866-FAU-OWLS.
