BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic women's tennis played FAMU in their second match of the day, after the match was originally postponed due to weather. The match was moved to the Florida State indoor tennis facility where FAU prevailed 4-0.

FAU won four singles matches to take the match and doubles were not played. FAU sophomore Lyndey Boos defeated Alexis Dean 6-2, 7-5 and senior Stephanie Cardullo defeated Synone Towndend 6-3, 6-2. FAU freshman Marisa Ruiz won her second match on the day defeating Shantal Blackwood 6-2, 6-0 and improving her dual match record to 5-2 on the season. FAU sophomore Bianca Biglione also won her second match on the day defeating Elysia Ortiz 6-3, 6-2 and improving to 6-1 in dual matches this season.

With the win FAU improves to 5-3 on the season. The Owls are back in action Friday March 6, at 2 p.m. against Duquesne at home at Patch Reef Park, in Boca Raton, FL.
