Owls Defeat Marines in Charity Softball Game

BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University softball team defeated a team of local Marines on Sunday in a charity softball game benefiting the Semper Fi Fund. It was the third year in a row that the Owls participated in the event. FAU has won all three games in the series.

The Semper Fi Fund provides veterans and their families with assistance while they recover from injury. FAU put up a big inning in the bottom of the first and were never seriously challenged by the Marines.

After the game, both teams were presented with trophies celebrating their involvement.
