BOCA RATON, Fla. - Marquan Botley scored 17 points as the Florida Atlantic men's basketball team defeated St. Thomas 73-60 in an exhibition game on Saturday night.

Botley was joined in double figures by freshmen Justin Massey (15) and Maceo Baston (10), as well as Kelvin Penn (11). The Owls trailed early in the first half, before going on a 12-1 run to take a 23-14 lead.

The advantage ballooned to as many as 21 in the second half and remained in double figures for the remainder of the game. Penn added eight rebounds and two blocks.

FAU will officially kick off its regular season on Friday when they travel to Elon. The game will tip-off at 8 p.m. and air on the American Sports Network.
