Women's Soccer Fighting for C-USA Tournament Seed

The Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team is fighting for a chance to qualify for the 2014 Conference USA Championship Tournament with two matches in Texas this weekend. The Owls (7-6-3) will face UTEP on Friday, Oct. 24 at 9 p.m. ET before going to San Antonio to play UTSA on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. ET. FAU currently sits in ninth place in the C-USA standings and the top eight teams will earn seeds in the C-USA Tournament in Charlotte Nov. 5-9.

Last week: FAU knocked off the No. 1 team in Conference USA with a 2-0 win over North Texas on Friday. The Owls then fell to Rice 3-2 on Senior Day on Sunday.

History: The Owls are 0-1 all-time against UTEP and tied UTSA last year in the first meeting between the two programs.
