BOCA RATON, Fla. - For the second time in two weeks, the Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team tied a school record for 3-pointers made in a game. The Owls buried 14 treys en route to their 82-69 home victory over North Texas on Saturday.

FAU (12-7, 2-4 C-USA) snapped a three-game skid and earned its 400th win in program history. Head Coach Kellie Lewis-Jay, in her second season, and her squad also tied their win total from a season ago. North Texas fell to 8-11 on the year.

Sophomore Morgan Robinson led the Owls with a career-high 18 points on the night. The Longwood, Fla. native shot 6-of-7 from 3-point range and made five three's in the first half.

Kimberly Smith scored 17 points and led the team with nine rebounds. The senior made three shots from long range, extending her streak to 23 games with a 3-pointer made.

For the 11th time this season, the Owls forced more than 20 turnovers. FAU converted the Mean Green's 24 turnovers into 30 points. The Owls recorded 17 assists on their 26 field goals, led by Takia Brooks with five.

FAU gets a short rest before traveling to face FIU in Miami on Feb. 1. The Owls will attempt to avenge a Jan. 15 loss to the Panthers. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m.
