TAMPA, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University's men's cross country team finished in first place at the University of South Florida's Bulls Cross Country Invitational on Friday.
The men's team tallied a total of 43 points at the event. The men and women both competed in the event which was slightly shorter than a standard 5K course.
Michael Vidal was the top finisher for the men's team with a final time of 14:53.95. Josh Peterson ran the second best time for the Owls finishing in 15:36.74. The average finish for FAU's winning team was 15:39.78.
The women's team took third-place honors earning a 68 points total for the run. Chloe Sell was FAU's top finisher taking fourth-place with a final time of 17:30.04. Marla Keyes had the second best time of 17:33.27. The women's team average for the event was 18:26.91.
Florida Atlantic University will compete in Gainesville on Saturday, Sept. 14 for the University of Florida's Mountain Dew Invitational at 7:30 a.m.
