Stephanie Call Named Sun Belt Player of the Week

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University junior Stephanie Call was named Sun Belt Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.
Call, a junior from Lake Worth, hit .667 in five games for the Owls last week, including going 2-for-2 with four RBI, three runs scored and a homerun in the Owls' 9-1 win over Middle Tennessee State University on Saturday. Call also threw a complete game six hitter in that game.
For the season, she leads the team in slugging percentage (.553), RBI (24), homeruns (six) and is second on the squad with a .326 batting average.
The Owls face rival FIU in a key home-and-home series on Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5. Friday's game at FAU and Saturday's game at FIU both begin at 6 p.m. and live stats and audio of both games will be available at www.fausports.com.
