Baseball Receives Votes in Preseason Collegiate Baseball Poll

Boca Raton, FL - The Florida Atlantic University baseball team will begin the 2013 season recognized among the nation's premier teams. The Owls received votes in the Collegiate Baseball preseason poll, and were the top-ranked Sun Belt Conference team.
FAU is coming off its second regular-season conference title in the last three seasons. The team posted a 32-22 record and a 19-8 league record in 2012.
Head Coach John McCormack returns six position starters and two top starting pitchers for the 2013 season, which begins Friday, February 15 against the University of Cincinnati.

Four of FAU's 2013 non-conference opponents were ranked among the Collegiate Baseball preseason Top 40 poll. Six more teams on the schedule received votes in the poll.
