ANNAPOLIS, MD - The Navy Midshipmen scored 24 unanswered points and held off a late rally to defeat Florida Atlantic Saturday night, 24-17.

The Owls scored the first 10 points of the game, on a Jonathan Wallace one-yard touchdown run and a Mitch Anderson 53-yard field goal, which ties the longest in program history (Mark Myers in 2003).

Navy, behind the legs and arm of freshman quarterback Keenan Reynolds, powered back to a two-touchdown lead, scoring with seven seconds to go before the half to take the lead, and extending that lead with another score on the first drive of the third quarter.

Reynolds ended up 8-of-15 for 147 yards passing, and added another 159 yards rushing. He threw two touchdowns and rushed for another.

Wallace's second touchdown of the game, a 3-yard run early in the fourth, cut it to one score. After the Owls defense forced a missed field goal, they took over on the Navy 34.

Graham Wilbert completed the first four passes of the drive, combining with a 15-yard roughing-the-passer penalty to move it to the Navy 17. But the drive stalled from there, and the Midshipmen held on for the seven-point win.

Wilbert was 25-for-35 in the game for 205 yards. Wallace finished with a new career high in rushing with 111 yards on 28 carries. It was the first two-touchdown game of his career as well.

The Owls, 2-7, are on the road for the final time this season when they travel to Bowling Green, Ky., next week. Kickoff against Western Kentucky on Saturday, November 10, is 1 p.m., and live stats and audio can be found at www.FAUSports.com.
