BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team lost to Middle Tennessee in straight sets (25-20, 25-14, 25-14) on Friday night.
The Owls (3-12, 0-3 Sun Belt) led in the early portion of the first set, but couldn't sustain their early momentum and eventually fell 25-20. FAU got off to another fast start in the second set, but once again fell victim to a Blue Raider (4-9, 2-1) rally and lost by the score of 25-14.
In the third set, it was MT who seized early control, and despite six Robinson kills in the set, FAU was unable to stem the tide and MT clinched the sweep 25-14. FAU continues its homestand on Saturday when it faces Western Kentucky at 2 p.m.
