BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team got shut down offensively against Georgia State on Friday. The Owls were unable to get the ball into the back of the net in their 3-0 loss against GSU.
It was a hard night in goal for FAU keeper Jeremy Crumpton who stood in the net against the Panthers, which out-shot FAU 21-7. Since the fourth minute of the game GSU pounded shots into FAU territory, and the Owls weren't able to get one shot in until the 15th minute of the game by Karol Chorak. FAU had three shots in the first half of the game and four shots in the second half.
The Owls were able to hold the Panthers off from scoring all first half to keep the score tied at 0-0, but FAU wasn't able to keep that score long once the second period began. GSU out shot FAU 12-4 in the second half, and scored their three goals in the 62nd, 72nd and 77th minutes of the game.
FAU is now 3-3-1 on the season and has another quick turn around this weekend and will play on North Florida on Sunday, Sept. 18. The game is in Jacksonville and will be played at 4 p.m.
