BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University head softball coach Joan Joyce was recently featured in an ESPN.com article celebrating the 50th anniversary of her strike out of baseball legend Ted Williams.

The faceoff occurred in Joyce's hometown of Waterbury, Connecticut in front of a sellout crowd of 17,000 at Municipal Stadium. The article includes interviews with Coach Joyce as well as former FAU softball assistant coach John Stratton.
