Freshman Runner Qualifies for USA Junior Nationals

BOCA RATON, FL - This past weekend three Florida Atlantic University track and field members were looking to advance to the NCAA National meet. None of the three women advanced; however, freshman Danielle Aromashodu did qualify earlier in the season to extend her track season and to participate in the USA Junior National track & field meet. The meet will be held in Eugene, Oregon June 23-26.
Aromashodu qualified for the event at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational in early April placing fourth in the 400m hurdles at the meet and created a new career best time of 59.63. At this point in the season Aromashodu led the Sun Belt Conference in the 400 meter hurdles. Despite qualifying for the prestigious event Aromashodu will not be able to participate in the meet this year due to injury.
