Men's Golf to Host Third Annual Spring Break Tournament

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's men's golf team is set to play host to the third annual Spring Break Tournament at Gleneagles Country Club in Delray Beach beginning Friday, March 25 through Sunday, March 27.
The 17-team field will play a practice round on Thursday, March 24 and will compete on the challenging 18-hole course, which measures more than 6,500 yards from the blue tees.
"I would like to thank Gleneagles Country Club for their enthusiastic support of our tournament," said Angelo Sands, FAU's head men's golf coach. "Everyone at Gleneagles is ready and psyched for this tournament. At collegiate events there are usually 10 volunteers. At Gleneagles there are 200. Teams from across the nation are on a waiting list to play in this event. The five-star service provided to participating teams by the staff and membership of Gleneagles makes the tournament special."
This year's field is comprised of five Big Ten schools. Along with FAU, the following are slated to participate: University of Connecticut, DePaul University, Eastern Michigan University, Florida Gulf Coast University, Marquette University, Marshall University, University of Miami, Michigan State University, University of Minnesota, Murray State University, University of Nebraska, USF, Northern Illinois, Northwestern University, Ohio State University, and the University of Wisconsin.
