FAU Opens 2010 Sun Belt Tournament Against UNO

TODAY'S GAME: FAU (14-14, 10-8) looks for its first victory in the Sun Belt Tournament when they take on New Orleans (10-19, 4-14) in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The Owls defeated the Privateers 48-30 back on Dec. 16 to win their first Sun Belt game of the season. Lyrell Barfield led all scorers for FAU with 15 points. The Owls enter today's game 0-3 all-time in Sun Belt postseason play and are 9-23 all-time under Chancellor Dugan in neutral site games. FAU has not played a neutral site game yet this season.

LAST TIME OUT FOR FAU: The Owls concluded the regular season with an 88-71 home loss to Middle Tennessee State on senior day. Teri Stamps scored 17 points and Carla Stubbs added 12 points. For the Blue Raiders, Alysha Clark had another solid day with 36 points and 13 rebounds.
LAST TIME OUT FOR UNO: Chastity Reed scored 36 points for UALR as the Trojans defeated the Privateers 73-43 on February 27. UALR forced 21 New Orleans turnovers. Brittany Helm led the Privateers with 21 points on 9-of-18 shooting.
