Women's Hoops Begins Thanksgiving Tournament

BOCA RATON, FL - The FAU women's basketball team won't have time to enjoy their leftovers on Black Friday as they return to the hardwood for the 2010 UM Thanksgiving Tournament in Coral Gables.
The Owls (2-3) open things up against the host team, Miami, with a 7 p.m. tip-off at the BankUnited Center. FAU has never defeated Miami having lost all 15 of their matchups against the Hurricanes.
On Saturday, FAU will take on either UNC-Greensboro or Eastern Illinois. The Spartans and Panthers will do battle in the first game on Friday at 5 p.m. The two winners from Friday will play in the championship game on Saturday with a 7 p.m. tip and the two losers from Friday will play at 5 p.m on Saturday.
FAU has never faced either Eastern Illinois or UNC-Greensboro in program histroy.
