MONROE, LA - Florida Atlantic University's football team fell to 1-4 (0-2) on the year with a 20-17 loss at ULM, Saturday night.

The two teams have had a spirited rivalary with the visiting team prevailing until Saturday night when the Warhawks scored on a five-yard run with 2:43 remaining in the game and then held the Owls in their next possession for the victory. ULM moved th 5-2 all-time versus the Owls.

The two teams failed to score in the first and it took the Owls, who spotted ULM 12, until the third quarter to score. FAU had been held to no touchdowns through six quaerter prior to a one-yard run by Alfred Morris who had 153 yards on the night.for his ninth career 100 yard game. Morris would score again with 10:26 remaining in the fourth on a three-yard run. to put the Owls up 17-12.

The Owls would hold and were driving before a fumbled exchange gave the ball and the momentum back to ULM. The Warhawks punched in the touchdown and took a three-point margin with a two-point conversion.

In the two teams seven meetings no game has had a larger margin than seven and and the average is 3.1.

Defensively, FAU was led by Malik Eugene who had a career high 14 tackles and fellow linebacker Michael Lockley who had 13. The Owls had 10 tackles for a loss of 45 yards in the game.
