Women's Tennis Falls to No. 7 Miami

Playing its second straight nationally ranked team on the young season, the Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team fell 7-0 to No. 7 University of Miami on Saturday afternoon in Coral Gables, Fla.
The Owls lost to No. 32 ranked Florida International University on Thursday to open the 2009-10 season.
For FAU, freshman Natasha Basma dropped a competitive match at the number six singles position in straight sets 6-3, 6-2. She also lost in doubles action by an 8-4 score with teammate sophomore Erika Mrazkova.
In another close match, at number one doubles the duo of Justine Humair and Cassie Bergeson fell 8-6 to the Hurricanes team of Danielle Mills and Laura Vallverdu.
The Owls return to the court on Friday, January 29 against Bethune Cookman University. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. in Daytona Beach, Fla.
