Softball Drops Rubber Match at Troy

Florida Atlantic University's softball team dropped the third game of the three-game series against Troy University 5-1.
The two teams split a double-header on Saturday and returned to the field Sunday only to see the Trojans take the game and series 2-1.
The game was the fifth of the Alabama road swing where they played both Troy and the University of South Alabama.
FAU's record drops to 20-20 on the year and 3-5 in Sun Belt Conference play.
Amber Barton took to the mound for FAU and fell to 5-4 in 13 2009 appearances. Blair Bodenmiller hit her fifth home run of the season to account for FAU's lone run.
FAU will next play host to FIU, 6 p.m. Wednesday.
