PHILADELPHIA, PA - Friederike Feil qualified for the NCAA East Regional for the third straight year at Day One of the Penn Relays on Thursday.
Feil qualified in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a time of 10:33.82, which is also a new school record and is the best time in that event this year by a Sun Belt athlete. Mattear finished 14th in the 400 meter hurdles at the meet on Thursday, in 1:01.53, despite 45 degree temperatures at race time.
The 2009 NCAA East Regional for track will be held in Greensboro, NC on May 28-30. Action continues at the Penn Relays on Friday. Live results and video are available at www.thepennrelays.com.
